About Us

Fela Titilayo Holt is one of three children born to Omi Jakuta Obu (1956-2017), the visionary and owner of Onje Sea Gold, LLC. She is a beautiful, intelligent, hard-working and creative Black woman who descends from a lineage of many well accomplished Black women. Having been reared among the best in the Pan-African community since birth, Fela, like her beloved mother was, is committed to the cause of Black Liberation through the strategic application of health and wellness principles that will aid us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

THE FOUNDER/ORIGINATOR OMI JAKUTA OBU

Onje Sea Gold, LLC., is the vision of Omi Jakuta Obu (Darlene Yancey) who was born during the dawn of the civil rights movement in Philadelphia. Omi was a woman with many gifts which eventually led her to become a successful entrepreneur. Among her many talents was her ability to sew and crochet which she learned from her great grandmother. As time went on she taught herself how to make jewelry specializing in silver and gold. She even became an accomplished musician playing shekere, cowbell and african drumming. These things she did while immersed in many other ventures and associations including stilt walkers, Africa House, Praises Products, Mothers In Charge, and so much more.

Neverthless, Omi’s heart and passion was Onje Sea Gold aka Seamoss Gold. She was introduced to seamoss over 30 years ago by Sis. Adio Akil and Dr. Sebi. She worked diligently to promote seamoss and to educate everyone she came in contact with about the awesome benefits of seamoss especially concerning the fact that it contains 92 of 102 vitamins and minerals that our body needs.

Although Omi now communes with us from the ancestral realm alone, her impact and spiritual energy is still felt everywhere. Onje Sea Gold today is a story about a daughter’s love for her mother’s life, work and legacy that continues to positively influence and holistically enrich all who come in contact with us and our products.

Onje Sea Gold is the catalyst for perfect health. Omi knew it, Fela knows it, and you should know it to. It’s more than just about health, it’s about legacy!!!
